Windows media player does not like the videos from the camera, so since I cant upload those, I'll toss up a few pics.

That's the planning session going on right now, and some lovely scenery, I am sure tracy'spics are better but I don't know if she is going to post or sleep tonight :D

Hostel update 10/30

I will let Tracy hit the details, just wanted to talk a bit about where we are.

Currently in Derry or London-derry depending on where you live. Its one of those towns with a river between the Catholics and the Non-catholics, so that's good times.

Its also apparently the biggest party town in Ireland, supposedly a whole 25,000 people will be in town for the Halloween party. It doesn't sound like alot until you're here and actually lay eyes on the smallest roads ever. Really, ever. I took us a while to find the place but thepeople here seem nice, if a little on the bohemian side of things, but its a hostel what do you really expect?

The ladies are currently planning tomorrow and I think Tracy is going to upload some pics and maybe some video of the crossing of the most wickedly scary bridge ever. Apparently remade annually by some crazy fisherman, no not crab people salmon fishermen.

Anyhow, good night for now we'll update sometime when we're in dire need of coffee and hit a starbucks in one of the larger towns. I think tomorrow ruins and castles are the plan, wish us luck!!

WiFi woes.

We are all very well and safe and having a wonderful time, but our WiFi access has been much spottier than expected, so I apologize for hyping what's turning into kind of a boring travel blog. :) We're at a mall in Derry tonight looking for a hostel with actual internet access instead of the pretend internet access that seems to cover much of Ireland. If found, we've got loads of pictures for you.

Highlights:

Dublin
Belfast (wicked cool stories from here)
Bushmills
Cerrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (we survived it, but WOW)
Giant's Causeway
Ruins! Castles! Hills! Rain! Whiskey! Chips! Tea!

There are a million kids running around in costumes in the mall trick-or-treating tonight. Apparently Derry will do a HUGE Halloween celebration tomorrow, but we're not sure we want a big city Halloween, we think we'd rather be in a spooky little village. We'll see what happens.

Mike and Lil have found maps and helpful locals which have pointed us toward what sounds like the hostel of our dreams -- with luck, another entry will follow within a couple hours.

Lovelovelove.

Looks like we made it.

We're safely installed in our hostel in Dublin! Later, we will tell the tale of How It Almost Wasn't, and hopefully post some pictures. Mike and Lil have already eaten blood pudding this morning, so we're off to a good start.

One week out.

Next Tuesday at 6:00 a.m., our journey begins.

That means you've got seven days to beg us for souvenirs.
